Aged and Disability Advocacy Australia (ADA Australia) is a not-for-profit, independent organisation that provides aged care and disability advocacy services. We serve metropolitan, regional, rural, and remote communities across Queensland, including Rockhampton.

ADA Australia’s mission is to improve the well-being of older people and people living with disabilities through our advocacy services. We offer aged care and disability advocacy in Rockhampton and Central Queensland. All our services are free, confidential, and client-focused.

ADA Australia’s Rockhampton & Central Queensland Services

Our Rockhampton team provides aged care advocacy and disability advocacy services. Through our services, we help people understand their rights and needs, and speak up for them. If you or a loved one requires assistance accessing aged care or disability services, understanding their rights, or help with a concern, the ADA Australia team is here to support you.

Aged Care Advocacy

In Rockhampton and Central Queensland, our aged care advocacy services are designed to help seniors uphold their rights and have their voices heard. We specialise in helping people understand aged care support systems and access appropriate care and support options.

At ADA Australia, we understand that navigating the aged care support system can be challenging. That’s why we’re here to provide guidance. We can help you understand and access home care and residential options. In addition to this, our aged care advocacy support also includes communicating care preferences, assisting with concerns, reviewing and negotiating care plans, and making referrals for assessments or additional services.

Our team is also experienced in helping with service agreements, fees, statements, and budgets. Anyone living in Rockhampton and Central Queensland who has issues accessing aged care support services or has difficulties with service provisions for the following Australian Government-funded programs is eligible for our help.

Home Care Packages (HCP)
Residential Aged Care Homes
Disability Support for Older Australians (DSOA) Program
Commonwealth-funded dementia services
Flexible care services, including:
- Short-term restorative care
- Transition care

Disability Advocacy

The Rockhampton ADA Australia team can assist with disability advocacy, providing information, referrals, and individual advocacy to people with disabilities experiencing issues with support services, unfair treatment, or disability discrimination.
