ADA Australia Mareeba
Aged and Disability Advocacy Australia (ADA Australia) is a not-for-profit, independent organisation providing services to Queensland’s metropolitan, regional, rural, and remote communities, including the town of Mareeba.
Our organisation aims to improve the well-being and quality of life of seniors throughout the state through our advocacy and community services.
ADA Australia services are client-directed, free and confidential. Our focus is our clients; they are at the heart of what we do and their needs and preferences are prioritised in all decisions.
ADA Australia’s Mareeba Services
The ADA Australia Mareeba team offers aged care advocacy in the local area. We work to help seniors understand their rights and speak up for them. If you or someone you care for requires help with accessing aged care services or programs, communicating care preferences, or exercising their rights, the ADA Australia team can help.
Aged Care Advocacy
Our aged care advocacy services are designed to help seniors resolve concerns with their service providers, uphold and understand their rights and communicate their care preferences.
At ADA Australia, we understand how complex the aged care system can be to navigate. We specialise in helping people navigate the system and access the services that they require.
We can help seniors identify and understand all the residential and home care options available in Mareeba, communicate care preferences, and more.
Our team can assist with reviewing and negotiating care plans and making referrals for assessments and additional services. We can also help raise and address any concerns about service agreements, fees, statements, and budgets.
Any seniors living in Mareeba who are experiencing issues accessing their aged care support services or have concerns about their service provisions for the following Australian Government-funded aged care programs are eligible for our help.
- Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)
- Home Care Packages (HCP)
- Residential Aged Care Homes
- Disability Support for Older Australians (DSOA) Program
- Commonwealth-funded dementia services
