Aged and Disability Advocacy Australia (ADA Australia) is a not-for-profit independent organisation offering advocacy services in metropolitan, regional, rural, and remote communities across Queensland, including Hervey Bay.
Our mission is to improve the well-being of seniors in Hervey Bay through our services, helping them understand their rights and communicate care preferences. In Hervey Bay, our team provides aged care advocacy and a community legal service, specialising in guardianship and administration matters.

Aged Care Advocacy
The ADA Australia aged care advocacy services are designed to help seniors uphold their rights, communicate their preferences, and have their voices heard when it comes to aged care. Our services include:
- Accessing appropriate care, support, and service options
- Understanding your rights when receiving home care services or residential care
- Raising and addressing any concerns with service agreements, fees, statements, and budgets
- Support with reviewing and negotiating care plans
- Making referrals for additional assessments and services
The Hervey Bay team can also help clients with assessments and following up on referrals. We can also assist with explaining financial assessments and fees.
Any seniors in the Hervey Bay area experiencing issues with their services or service provider for the following Australian Government-funded care programs are eligible for our help.

ADA Law Community Legal Service
Along with aged care advocacy support, our team also offers community legal services through ADA Law in Hervey Bay. ADA Law provides a decision-making legal service to support adults whose capacity is in question. Our team can provide legal advice, representation, and advocacy for guardianship and administrative matters, including ensuring power of attorney and support before the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT).
