Aged and Disability Advocacy Australia (ADA Australia) is a not-for-profit independent organisation serving metropolitan, regional, rural, and remote communities across Queensland, including Gympie.
Our organisation’s mission is to improve the well-being of seniors through advocacy services. In Gympie, our team offers aged care advocacy and a community legal service, specialising in guardianship and administration matters.

Our experienced team in Gympie offers aged care advocacy for seniors and community legal services in the region. Our services aim to help seniors understand and uphold their rights when it comes to aged care and decision-making. Aged Care Advocacy
Our aged care advocacy services are designed to help seniors uphold their rights, communicate care preferences, and have their voices heard. Our advocacy services include:
- Accessing appropriate care, support, and service options
- Understanding their rights when receiving home care services or residential care
- Raising and addressing any concerns with service agreements, fees, statements, and budgets
- Support with reviewing and negotiating care plans
- Making referrals for additional assessments and services
The Gympie ADA Australia team can also assist clients with assessments, follow up on referrals, and explain financial assessments and fees.
Any seniors in the Gympie area experiencing problems with their aged care services or service providers for the following Australian Government-funded care programs are eligible for our services.

ADA Law Community Legal Service
Along with aged care advocacy, ADA Australia also offers community legal services in Gympie. ADA Law provides a decision-making legal service to support adults whose capacity is in question. Our legal services include legal advice, representation and advocacy with guardianship and administrative matters, including Enduring Power of Attorney and support before the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) and Mental Health Review Tribunal (MHRT).
