Aged and Disability Advocacy Australia (ADA Australia) is a not-for-profit, independent organisation that provides aged care advocacy and legal services for seniors. We serve metropolitan, regional, rural, and remote communities across Queensland, including the rural town of Charters Towers.

Aged Care Advocacy

Mental Health Legal Support
Through our ADA Law program, we provide free legal support to people with mental health conditions living in Charters Towers to access and navigate the justice system.
This service can help people in Charters Towers with:
- Representation at the Mental Health Review Tribunal with hearings about ECT applications; Forensic Order Reviews; Treatment Support Orders; Treatment Authorities and Review of Treatment Authorities for people under 18 years of age
- Representation at QCAT regarding guardianship and administration matters

- Liaison with the Public Trustee or Office os the Public Guardian
- Referral to other legal, consumer and support services
