As a Disability Advocate, you will provide information, support and representation to people with disability, their family or unpaid carer. You’ll work closely with the Team Leader and Manager, Advocacy Services to deliver individual, group and systemic advocacy that promotes, protects and upholds human rights. This role involves helping clients navigate complex systems such as the NDIS, addressing issues like abuse, neglect and discrimination, and ensuring people have a voice in decisions that affect their lives. You’ll also build networks and raise community awareness. Applications close 5.00pm Friday 12 September 2025.

As a Disability Advocate-Yarn2Action, you will provide high-quality individual advocacy, information, referral, and direct support to clients across Southeast Queensland including Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and the Gold Coast. You’ll support individuals to uphold their human rights, access services (including NDIS), and build community connections in a culturally safe and inclusive way. ADA Australia considers that being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational requirement under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act QLD 1991.
