Giving mob with disability knowledge and confidence to speak up and be heard.

Yarn’n Strong will work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with disability, and their families and carers, to give education, tools and greater confidence to speak up and be heard about disability matters.

Yarn’n Strong is an initiative of ADA Australia, and funded under the national Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) program. The ILC program runs adjacent to the NDIS, and is to foster greater inclusion of people with disability through:

  • Creating connections for people with disability in the communities they live in
  • Building knowledge, skills and confidence
  • Improving access to community and mainstream services.
