ADA Australia Gladstone
Aged and Disability Advocacy Australia (ADA Australia) is a not-for-profit, independent organisation serving Queensland’s metropolitan, regional, rural, and remote communities. Our advocacy services are also available in the Gladstone area.
Our organisation aims to improve the well-being of seniors and those living with a disability through our advocacy services. These include helping people understand their rights, assistance in accessing care options, and more. Our services are free, confidential, and client-focused. We always put our clients first.
ADA Australia’s Gladstone Services
In the city of Gladstone, ADA Australia provides aged care advocacy and disability advocacy services. This includes assisting with issues surrounding care providers, unfair treatment or discrimination, service delivery, and more.
Aged Care Advocacy
Our Gladstone aged care advocacy services help seniors understand and uphold their rights, and ensure their voices are heard. We specialise in assisting people in accessing the appropriate care and support services, as well as resolving any concerns surrounding accessing care or issues with care providers.
At ADA Australia, we understand that navigating the aged care system can be daunting, especially alone. We can help you understand the support options available, assist with accessing them, and ensure your preferences are communicated.
Our team can assist with reviewing and negotiating care plans and making referrals for assessments and additional services. We can also help raise and address any concerns regarding service agreements, fees, statements, and budgets.
If you’re living in Gladstone and having trouble accessing aged care support services or are concerned about your service provisions for the following Australian Government-funded aged care programs, you may be eligible to access our services.
- Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)
- Home Care Packages (HCP)
- Residential Aged Care Homes
- Disability Support for Older Australians (DSOA) Program
- Commonwealth-funded dementia services
- Flexible care services, including:
- Short-term restorative care
- Transition care
- The National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care Program
Disability Advocacy
At ADA Australia, we offer disability advocacy services. Our disability advocates can provide information, referrals, and individual advocacy support to people with disability experiencing issues with support services, disability discrimination, and unfair treatment.
We can help address issues with care providers, support services, or government agencies. We may also be able to assist with instances of discrimination or unfair treatment.
Our team can assist people to access support services and understand their available options, as well as NDIS access, planning, service delivery, and reviews.
Our disability advocacy services are available to people with a permanent, or likely to be permanent, disability living in Gladstone.
