Queensland has been very successful in flattening the COVID-19 curve, sustaining a continuous downward trend in cases for the past month. At time of writing, the state will enter stage 3 restrictions on Friday 10 July.
Despite the lowered risk of contracting COVID-19 within Queensland, it is important that all Queenslanders, particularly those over 65 and those with a compromised immune system remain vigilant in protecting themselves from the virus by continuing to social distance, washing hands and wherever possible remaining 1.5 metres away from non-household members.
While restrictions are easing, it is important that anyone with symptoms, no matter how mild, gets tested and stays home. Symptoms include:
- Sore throat
- Shortness of breath
- Loss of sense of smell
- Runny nose
